Custom Cabinetry Services for Homeowners

Hansen Custom Cabinets has enjoyed working directly with homeowners for 57 years. Here's how the process works:

We come to you, measure the job site, and learn about your vision, objective, budget, schedule, and scope of the project. We want to know what finishes you like, what materials you want, and what style you prefer. Before this meeting, you may want to gather photos from magazines or websites of cabinets you like. Also, jot down a wish list of functionality needs.

Next, we return to our office to brainstorm, render drawings, and prepare an estimate for your review. Hansen has built every style of cabinet imaginable and can share with you popular styles and features that can add resale value. With hundreds of samples onsite, we can show you samples of wood species, finishes, colors, door styles, and hardware. Our estimate will include a hardware allowance. You can browse hardware online here.

Upon receipt of your approval and down payment, we go into production. Our cabinet makers create one-of-a-kind custom cabinetry solutions tailored to the unique needs and dimensions of each home.

Hansen can install the cabinets we build, but we do not act as a general contractor. If you need countertops, electrical, or plumbing, we can provide a list of reputable sources upon request.

We can create many different finishes including:

  • stain-and-glaze
  • paint-and-glaze
  • distressing
  • rub throughs
  • high gloss
  • standard stained cabinets
  • painted

We build any style of cabinet, including traditional, luxury lake home, european, painted, contemporary, city penthouse, family-friendly rooms, mid-century modern, rustic country, sophisticated, and hybrids of the above.

The majority of our builds take place in our shop as opposed to on site. That means less mess in your home, finer accuracy in the construction, and fewer days for installation.

Cabinet Care Tip:

Polishing should be done sparingly, if at all. Polishes build up over time and may affect the beauty of your finish, especially if your cabinets have a flat varnish on them. If you feel you have to polish your cabinets, make sure you use a high-quality cream or an oil furniture polish. Make sure it does not contain any wax or silicone. Read more tips
